Audience: Program Directors, Academic Coaches, and Resident Leads

This session will present the concept of Academic Coaching within the RCPSC Competence by Design (CBD) Coaching Model. Through case-based discussion, participants will examine the role and responsibilities of the Academic Coach including ‘coaching in the moment and coaching over time.’ Some of the learning activities include reviewing an educational portfolio, and considerations when developing an action plan. Other objectives relate to relationship building strategies and tools.
