MedSIS REMINDER: REQUIRED FOR TRAINEES TO TRIGGER EPA FORMS
Medsis update
Reminder to please ensure that all your incoming trainees are registered into their learning path as they will not be able to get EPA forms completed on them until this is done.
Here is a link to the Administrative Checklist for Setting Up and Maintaining CBME Learners in MedSIS.
Most programs are in the groove of setting up their new trainees when they begin training, but I’d like to remind everyone to follow the appropriate steps for maintaining your trainees in MedSIS. This includes:
- Marking EPAs and stages achieved (after Competence Committee decisions are made) and approved (after Residency Program Committee decisions are made; if applicable).
- Promoting residents to the next stage in MedSIS when appropriate.
- Closing trainee learning paths once they have finished or left your program.
Now that many of your EPAs have versioned, the steps above will have a significant impact on programs that have more than one version of their EPAs so it will be important to maintain your trainees in MedSIS
