Inviting all Faculty Supervisors, Senior Residents, Faculty Development Leads, and anyone who provides feedback to residents in training (this includes those in CBD Royal College programs and Family Medicine).
The CBME office is offering a ‘Coaching and Feedback in the Moment’ workshop to review the role and responsibilities of the clinical supervisor who provides resident trainees competency-focused coaching and feedback in the clinical setting. This workshop reviews principles and models of coaching, and strategies for providing effective coaching and feedback in the moment.
At the end of this learning activity participants will be able to :
1. Define academic coaching
2. Distinguish coaching over time from coaching in the moment.
3. Discuss elements of and barriers to effective feedback
4. Describe and apply models for effective coaching in the moment
