CBME What’s Happening – November 2020
Read the November 2020 edition of the CBME eNewsletter “What’s Happening” – there are some takeaways from the November CBME Town Halls and other updates, including EPA versioning and overlap training, although guidelines remain in development and are expected early in 2021.
The Royal College is actively seeking feedback on EPAs, milestones, and contextual variables through the Specialty Committees; we encourage you to relay any issues you are experiencing with assessment of competencies. To date, the College has not yet received feedback on contextual variables. We have the capacity to monitor completion, but are processing a solution to support quick tracking in MedSIS and will report soon.
Programs that attended the training on the Competence Committee Review Dashboard in MedSIS in November now have access to it. Additional synchronous training on the Competence Committee Review Dashboard will be offered in early Spring.
The CBME Office has begun transition planning meetings with 2021 programs to provide opportunity to discuss in detail preparations, considerations, and address issues or questions you may have about any aspect of CBD implementation and how the CBME Office may support you. Contact us to set up a meeting!
As always, we are here to listen, support, and collaborate. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.
