This course is meant to prepare residency teachers (faculty, senior learners, and other health care professionals) at McMaster for the transition to a competency-based model of residency education.  Topics in this course include an introduction to competency-based medical education and the Competency By Design initiative; entrustable professional activities, milestones, and resident assessment; teacher as coach; direct observation and feedback; and competence committees.
